Semester 2 dalam jenjang sekolah SD/MI, SMP/MTs, maupun SMA/MA/SMK merupakan semester akhir dalam setiap tahunnya. Pada semester ini pula siswa dituntut untuk belajar dengan sungguh-sungguh karena nilai akan menentukan kenaikan kelas ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Namun sebelum menjajaki UAS atau Ulangan akhir semester ada ulangan tengah semester atau UTS yang merupakan ulangan pertengahan pemanasan pada semester 2.
